Uber’s Elevate division partnered with NASA and the FAA to test eVTOL drones for the next era of human mobility. They needed software to plan, launch, and monitor experimental flights—meeting aerospace safety standards while remaining operator‑friendly.
The team was comprised of Product Managers, Front-End and Back-End Engineers, Aerospace Engineers and Human Factors scientists. Together the goal was to create a single‑screen command center that: plans 4‑D corridors in minutes, surfaces safety alerts without clutter, passes FAA human‑factors checks, and modular enough to quickly evolve in a pioneering technology space.
The final product enabled mission-critical testing by incorporating consumer-grade design polish with aerospace, scientific and engineering specifications and tolerances.
